Below are common questions from parents regarding our waiting list, please have a read through these before you contact us with a query as the answer may be below.
HOW DOes THE WAITING LIST WORK?
Ourwaiting list has a limited number of places. If you join this list, we aim to offer a place between 12 and 24 months from sign up, wherever possible. We can never make a guarantee, but we will do our absolute best to offer your child a place at of one of our main intakes (April & September).新families signing up to the list will be charged a waiting list sign-up fee of £25. When a place at the nursery is offered and accepted, an enrolment fee and deposit will be required to secure the place. If you do not accept the place when offered, you will not be refunded the waiting list sign-up fee of £25 and we reserve the right to remove you from the waiting list.
HOW DO I ADD A SIBLING TO THE WAITING LIST?
We offer siblings priority over the external waiting list. If you are an enrolled family whose child attends one of the nurseries and would like to register a sibling onto the internal sibling waiting list please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your child’s name, date of birth and ideal start date.
I’M ALREADY ON THE WAITING LIST WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?
我们已经改变了我们的名单rks, if you previously signed up to any of our priority waiting lists for 2021 you will remain on the list for a place and we will deduct your fee from the enrolment fee when we enrol your child. This is only applicable to families who previously joined the priority waiting list.
CAN I BE ON MORE THAN ONE NURSERY WAITING LIST AT THE SAME TIME, AND DO I NEED TO PAY TWICE?
You will be able to sign up to up to amaximum of 2nursery locations of your preference at the same time and you will only need to pay the waiting list sign- up fee of £25 once. You cannot pay to be on more than 2 waiting lists at any given time.
HOW ARE FAMILIES SELECTED FROM THE WAITING LIST, IS IT BY DATE OF JOINING?
There are lots of different factors which can affect the admissions timeline. Please see our full admissions policyherefor more information. Please note funded children, our enrolled children and siblings of our enrolled children always take priority over all external waiting lists.
WILL I DEFINITELY GET A PLACE, AND WILL IT BE AT MY FIRST CHOICE NURSERY AND PREFERRED START DATE?
Please note that your registration on our waiting list does not guarantee that we will be able to offer a place on your preferred start date. We aim to offer a place between 12 and 24 months, from when you sign up. We can never make a guarantee, but we will do our absolute best to offer your child a place at of one of our main intakes (April & September). We usually offer places via email 2 to 3 months before start dates.
IF I DON’T GET A PLACE, WILL I BE REFUNDED MY WAITING LIST FEE?
No, the waiting list sign-up fee is a non-refundable fee. If we offer you a place and you do not accept, then you will not be refunded the fee and we reserve the right to remove you from the waiting list.
If you request to be removed from the waiting list for any reason and have been on the list for less than 24 months, no refund will be given.
CAN I ADD MORE THAN ONE CHILD TO EITHER OF THE LISTS AND IF SO, DO I NEED TO PAY TWICE?
Yes, you can add more than one child to either of the lists and we will only take one waiting list fee per family, so there is no need to make this payment more than once.
HOW CAN I BE REMOVED FROM THE WAITING LIST?
If you’d like to be removed from our waiting list for any reason, please email@example.com.
WHEN ARE YOUR MAIN INTAKES?
Our main intakes are in April and September with more places being available in September. From time to time places do open up mid-term when, for example, families move out of the area, and in these situations we will offer a place to the next eligible child on the waiting list.
CAN I GIVE MY PREFERENCE FOR DAYS?
We will ask you to indicate your preferred session type (sessional or full days) however, we cannot guarantee which days of the week will be available. We ask for a minimum of two days attendance at all nurseries with the exception of Wimbledon, where it is a minimum attendance of three days. If you would like to add a note to your waiting list sign up expressing your interest for certain days, please feel free to do so however, we cannot guarantee those days will be available.
CAN I SIGN UP FOR EITHER INTAKE?
You can sign up to your preferred first intake and, if we are not able to offer a place then, you will be automatically moved to the next intake’s waiting list. The more flexible families are in regards to the start date and days of the week their child is able to attend, the quicker we will move through the waiting list.
CAN I VISIT A NURSERY?
Once you’ve signed up to the waiting list, you’ll then be invited to a nursery fun day where you can come along and see the nursery site, meet the team and see first-hand what a typical morning or afternoon in the forest is like. We are not currently running any site tours at present, so you will need to join the waiting list to view the nursery.
WHAT DOES MY WAITING LIST FEE COVER AND ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS AT TIME OF ENROLMENT?
Your waiting list sign-up fee of £25 is just to register you on the wating list.
At the time of joining us, our enrolment fee and deposit also become payable.
Our enrolment feeis a non-refundable fee of £150.
This fee includes a summer set of waterproofs when your child joins us.
Our Nursery depositis £450 and this is refunded back to you at the end of your journey with Little Forest Folk providing you have met the notice period requirements as set out in our Terms and Conditions on our website.
